Neighbourhood

Safety is assured and maintained in a neighbourhood. Mine too is of that type, with strangers and neighbours being more and more familiar to each other. My neighbourhood is located in the J-1 block of DDA flats of Kalkaji in New Delhi, the capital of India.I live on the top floor of a four-storied flat in that area with everything nearby. Be it a shop like 6TEN® or Reliance® Fresh™, or a metro station or a bus stop. The place is much like the so-called ‘urban’ area in the South district. It is neat and well maintained with no garbage on the streets and a lot of greenery in the park just opposite to my flat. There is Guru Ravidas Marg, a branch of National Highway 2, just after 2 or 3 buildings or you can say flats. The people there are too kind and helpful with some ready to help anytime one wants. They are just like the members of one’s family who cares for one another. There was once a incident when I was 2 or 3 years old. When I went with my mother in the local temple, I do not know knowingly or unknowingly,I got lost within the premises and could not find her. Fortunately, after an hour or so, our next door neighbour came running to me and carried me on his back to my flat’s door where my mother was weeping. That day, my neighbour saved me.

As a human being is a social animal, he gets affected by his neighbourhood and family only and the quality of these neighbours and family members determine his or her future.
